What makes a good paint-by-number image?

• Variety of colors and textures.
• Well-lit, even skin tones—any color works as long as it is well-lit in your photograph.
• Choose a photo with enough detail to be interesting but not so much that details will be lost when converted into a painting.
• Avoid images with excessive red or yellow tones.
• Consider cropping your image to highlight your favorite part.
